Robert Deady, PsyD, graduated from the 91¾«Æ· doctoral program in Clinical Psychology in 2017. He has been with clinical services since the 2017-18 training year as a postdoc, and currently services as the associate director of two training programs: the 91¾«Æ· Clinic and the 91¾«Æ· College Wellness. Dr. Deady has had a longstanding interest in training, supervision, and teaching — dating all the way back to his undergraduate days, when he initially aspired to be a high school English teacher, and was a teaching assistant for introduction to psychology and counseling classes. After his year working at the 91¾«Æ· Clinic has a clinic mentor, Dr. Deady completed his internship at the Drexel University counseling center in Philadelphia.
Dr. Deady is a psychodynamically oriented clinician, drawing heavily upon contemporary relational psychoanalysis and object relations. Dr. Deady’s clinical interests include working with childhood abuse survivors, working with LGBTQ-identified folks, identity and developmental concerns, and dissociative reactions to trauma. Dr. Deady also serves on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology as the Program Division Chair. Outside of psychology, Dr. Deady is interested in contemporary literature, science-fiction, and music.
