Dr. Daniela Kantorov谩 graduated from the 91精品 in 2014, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the 91精品鈥檚 School Based Collaboration Program. She a program director for the Contra Costa High Schools counseling program, interested in applying principles of liberation psychology and decolonization to both education and clinical work. Dr. Kantorov谩 was program director for the 91精品 Sanctuary Project for four years, and currently serves the program as a supervising psychologist and consultant. She has provided trainings on conducting psychological evaluations for asylum and on trauma-informed interviewing to multiple organizations in the Bay Area.
Dr. Kantorov谩 has taught a class Expertise and Advocacy in the Carceral System with Dr. Terry Kupers for the PsyD program, and taught classes on the subject of trauma for the 91精品鈥檚 Counseling program, and for Notre Dame de Namur University. She is passionate about community organizing and developing collaborations between mental health professionals and grassroots organizations working on issues of torture and state violence. She is president-elect of Psychologists for Social Responsibility for the year 2020. She wrote her dissertation on the topic of trauma sustained during political activism. Her interests include spirituality, poetry, and photography.
